First edition of the book on “Family Laws of Muslims, Parsis and Christians” was presented in the year 1999. It is a matter of immense pleasure for us that it was found to be very useful. However, we faced a moment of decision: Shall we not have an edition solely for Students? Therefore, this “Students Edition”!
For us, this First “Student Edition” is a Paradigm Shift to the earlier editions. It has been motivated by an urge to emphasise on preciseness and lucidity. This edition is therefore, not intended to be merely a technical reference of advocates’ hand-book, loaded with numerous foot-notes and plethora of judicial decisions. We have made all efforts and sincere attempts to present Family Laws of Muslims, Parsis and Christians in India with precision.
