College Chemistry-I (Bangalore Univ)

This volume aims at preparing the students to learn the basics of chemistry through illustrations and a number of numerical problems in general and physical chemistry; elaborate discussion of IUPAC nomenclature of organic compounds, electronic effects and basic reaction mechanisms. The variation of physical properties of some important groups in the periodic table is dealt in a meaningful manner.

The book titled “College Chemistry-I” is designed for the B.Sc. (I Semester) students of Bangalore University with Chemistry as an optional subject. Enough care has been taken to discuss the various topics within the framework of the current syllabus prescribed by the University.
