Dr. A.B. Rao is M.A., LL.B., Ph.D., MIMA. He is a Research Scholar, Academician and Administrator. He is a recognized Research Guide at Savitribai Phule Pune University, Bharati Vidyapeeth’s (Deemed University), Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Yashwantrao Chavan Open University, Nashik. He has guided more than 45 students for their Ph.D. in Management and Commerce Studies. He worked as Director of Bharati Vidyapeeths Institutes of Management at Pune, Navi Mumbai, Solapur and New Delhi for more than 19 years. He also worked as Director of Mahatma Education Societys Pillai Institute of Management Affiliated to Mumbai University for 3 years. Further, he worked as the Head of the Research Center of Allana Institute of Management Sciences (affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University) for a period of 10 years. Earlier, for a period of 19 years, he worked as Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the B.M. College of Commerce, Pune. He is a well-known author of more than 20 textbooks and reference books on Business Mathematics, Statistics and Quantitative Techniques, Operations Research, Research Methodology, Business Ethics and Professional Values, etc. He was a member of B.U.T.R. Academic Courses, Commerce Faculty, Board of Studies of Pune University. Also, he was a member of the Ad Hoc Committee for Management Studies of Mumbai University. Further, he was a member of B.U.T.R. of Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. He is a fellow of the Deccan Education Society and Life Member of All India Management Association, New Delhi. He is a Life Member of the Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi and also a Life Member of National Institute of Personnel Management, Kolkata. He has travelled widely in India and abroad especially in the USA, Europe, UK, Singapore, etc. He participated in many national and international conferences. He is the recipient of many awards and citations for his contribution to the academic and research field and has also received Gold Medals for his scholarly achievements.
